Miami-Dade County Environmentally Endangered Lands (EEL) Program is the acquisition, protection and maintenance of environmentally endangered lands. The purchase and conservation of these lands ensure that they are shielded from development and will continue to thrive as natural habitats.
Alliance For Community Trees (ACT)
is dedicated to improving the environment where 80% of Americans live: our cities, towns, and villages. Together, ACT’s national network of members have planted and cared for 15 million trees with help from over 5 million volunteers.
UF Miami-Dade County Extension serves as a liaison between research conducted by scientists at the University of Florida and other universities and Miami-Dade County residents. The Extension Service provides information, outreach, and education for growers (agricultural and horticultural), homeowners, youth, people interested in family issues or food and nutrition, and marine industries.
