Volunteers of TREEmendous Miami conduct educational sessions in conjunction with all of our tree planting activities, providing lectures as well as hands-on instruction to local residents and citizen groups.
We disseminate educational materials about the many benefits of trees and correct horticultural practices. We do this through our Planting Days and local environmental and plant-related events, including the Fairchild Ramble, the Tropical Agriculture Fiesta and various other festivals at the Redland Fruit and Spice Park, and the USDA Open House at Chapman Field

Miami-Dade County’s Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM) has information available on choosing the right tree, tree planting and maintenance tips as well as a list of native trees indigenous to South Florida. These trees will be beneficial to supporting the native habitat.
